It reminded me of the old days.

Over 10 years ago, when I was in middle school, I read this novel in my morning reading time. At that time, I remembered that my classmate said, “There are comics too, so it's interesting,” and read them. It made me feel nostalgic, and my memories of when I read it came back to life. I was drawn into a unique view of the world. The character at the end of the game was interesting. I felt that time was precious, and it was a wonderful thing.

True to the original

I loved this work when I was in elementary school. Even when it was made into a comic, it drew scenes just as I had imagined, and I felt so nostalgic! I think the dialogue and the atmosphere of the characters match very well.

I miss it...!! Even if it becomes a comic, it's interesting!

This review contains spoilers.

This review contains spoilers. It's been a long time since I read the original story carefully, but I got the impression that there were no memorable scene cuts and that it was carefully drawn (I have a feeling that there are scenes that have been modified to avoid glo just a little bit... Sorry if that's wrong). As I read it, the excitement of that time came back to life, and I just continued reading. I was happy that Crepsley was so cool and Harcat were drawn so cute. Also, when it comes to comics, it was easy to get an image of the characters who tend to get messy with just the letters. Now is an age where all kinds of comics and novels are everywhere, but I wanted people to know more about the appeal of stories that have been loved for a long time like Darren Shang. The comics are also interesting, so it would be nice if they kept the novel and manga as a set at the store. It has nothing to do with the main story, but the comic with the afterword, Frog, is cute and I like it quite a bit.

Works I wanted to read

This is a novel I left over reading when I was in middle school. It's only 1/4 in this form, but I'm happy to know the content ♡ I had a strong desire to read the novel after all!

It was really nice!

I've read it in novels, and I didn't read comics because I didn't like drawing that much, but as I read, I didn't care at all, and I fell in love with the characters! Wouldn't it be nice to read Darren Shang, which is different from the novel version?

I like it very much

I haven't read the original. The story progresses at a good tempo and is easy to read. It's such a strange story that I can't believe it was originally a children's novel. The theme is heavy, but it's nice that it's easy to read. There were also people who wrote that they didn't like black hair, but since the surname “Shang” is a name often used by Chinese people, etc., I don't think there's any particular sense of incongruity. Also, it's easy to understand if you have black hair, and blonde hair (silver hair?) I think it was appropriate for contrasting with Steve.

面白い

interesting

I was thinking of reading a novel, but I haven't been able to read it, so it would be interesting if I read comics because I was curious. It made me want to write novels too.
