This review contains spoilers. I almost skipped this one, because of seeing bad reviews for it. But I ended up liking it for the most part. It was a lovely little story, though I can't help but wonder if it got canceled before the author was ready, and thus had to rush to wrap it up. It just felt really rushed for like the last two and a half chapters. I also don't know if I could be that forgiving so quickly, so easily, after the cruel way he initially ended things between them!

This review contains spoilers. the ML is unbelievable - he loved her and knew that she loved him but tried to push her away. even though their marriage wasn’t recognized, he just gave up on doing anything about it. so what if they’re not married? hurt her heart for no good reason.

The feeling of impending doom that the author fostered chapter by chapter was a bit much. we get it, you don’t have to make it foreboding all the time, the impact is lessened by the constant foreshadowing.
