Reviews for Drifting Dragons Manga

It's like reading stories about people living in the same world as Nausicaa and Castle in the Sky. Maybe that's why, as someone who has been watching Ghibli a lot since I was a kid, I feel somewhat nostalgic while reading it. But it's definitely not Ghibli's Ghibli movie, and the settings for dragons and culture from this world are well thought out and interesting. The food that comes out looks delicious too.

It's a classic Isekai x Food, but the characteristic of this game is that “Dragon” is not just a monster, and while being an overwhelming presence like a natural disaster, it has been dismantled to make meat and oil edible and used by people. So it seems that dragon meat dishes can be replaced with other meats in the real world, but after all, I think the series of processes of “catching the dragon,” “dismantling,” and “eating” are carefully depicted, making it a dish “only available here.” The appeal of this work is the slightly grotesque dragons, the unique “Dragon Trap” crew members, and the world itself depicted with fantastic and delicate pictures like illustrations from foreign children's books. Everyone likes the main characters, such as Mika, who has an extraordinary obsession with dragon meat, the newcomer Takita, and the mysterious Vanny, but the veteran crew members who support them also have good taste, and the residents and rival ship crew members they meet at the port they stop by each have their own pride and beliefs, and not only the world but also their way of thinking is expanding. The crew members of the “Dragon Trap” are of different ages and backgrounds, and the translation is a bit strange, but it's comfortable that they cooperate with the work of catching dangerous dragons and respect each other with a good sense of distance. It's nice that the female characters are also fighting properly on the front lines, and although men and women live together, they don't strangely emphasize gender too much, and I like that their relationships as “friends” are properly depicted!

I started with anime. I really liked the setting and the worldview of the work, and I was curious about comics, so I started reading them, but after all, the original was really good. Each character is well set up, and it's a work that makes me more and more addicted to it as I read it.

I used to read volume 1 and 2. I thought an amazing work had come out. As of 2024, 18 volumes have been released, I didn't know at all, I was surprised

I like painting. Writing conditions, facial expressions, clothing and equipment, ships. It's probably going to be something that doesn't make any sense of incongruity even in reality. The appeal makes you want to eat any dish. And girls are cute.

What is it as a genre? adventure fantasy?? In the work of catching dragons, the personalities and backgrounds of each character are incorporated into the episode, and the characters become more attractive as the volume progresses. It's an exciting and exciting work that I wonder if the next volume will come out soon.

I've been watching it since the anime. The main characters in this story are creatures far from the dragons I had imagined, and live while catching dragons, eating them, and selling them. Are you going to eat dragons! I was surprised at first, but I felt that the values were no different from the feeling that we eat beef or horse meat. It's not something that fits in just a heartwarming anime frame. Catching dragons, selling them, eating... I think there are many people who imagine savage and selfish people in terms of words and letters. Other reviews said it was a bit more serious development, or that there were too many things that were aggressive, but in fact, I think they will live every day with care because they are people who catch and kill (dismantle) dragons every day and face death or life. They felt that living that way was a reason for living. I also like drawing. It was also nice to have an extraordinary yet heartwarming everyday background that even for us, is realistic. Personally, I recommend Mika, who has a strong appetite for ten thousand years. Mika tends to seem selfish, but she's a cool guy who has enough courage to go against the air pirates alone. There was Ghibli's Pakuri, etc., but just because they were similar doesn't affect the work. I think it's a matter of personal perception. I love this comic, and I love Studio Ghibli movies. However, they don't see it the same way. Ghibli has the strengths of Ghibli, and Airborne Dragons has the advantages of Airborne Dragons. I want them to take advantage of the absurd differences in interpretation in their own brain. OK, let's go to the second lap.

I really like the picture because it has a ji-like touch. The dragon design is also fantastic. I think the settings for each character are very detailed and appealing. Dragon cuisine is also interesting because they are particular about the amount.

The characters are also standing, which is interesting. There were various ways of living with dragons, and I was able to enjoy it without any sense of incongruity. The story of dragon trappers who hunt an unknown creature called a dragon

This is a story about getting on an airship, catching dragons and eating them. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is pretty deep, with creepy developments and tearful stories. Giving thanks to the dragon you've caught, dismantle it cleanly, and eat every corner makes me think very deeply about the phrase “thank you.” Mika's face after eating that dragon meat looks so delicious, and I want to try it all at once! (laughs) The dishes and recipes are also written in detail, and it makes me feel like I want to try making them. I'm looking forward to future developments and dragon meat dishes!

The picture is so beautiful! I get on a boat and go to various places, and the scenery is so beautiful that I'm excited. There's also plenty of realism in places like catching dragons! Also, the rice attack is amazing... Basically, it's a dragon meat dish, so I can't actually eat it, but I'm hungry because the cooking method and meat parts have been thought out in detail. It also comes with a recipe!

I started with the anime ☆ I wanted to read the original story, and I found it here, so I'm lucky to read it (o^-^o) It's interesting!

There are all kinds of foreshadowing, and I never get tired of it. I wanted to read more, and my desire to read more overflowed. I'm also looking forward to seeing the characters grow. I also recommend rereading it from scratch. The story also unfolds slowly, so please be careful.

I feel that the touch and story of the picture is somewhat like Ghibli. It's a story about challenging dragons in flying and eating captured dragons, but it's not a dragon that attacks the moment you find it, which is common in fantasy, and it's like a dragon version of a whaling ship. The crew members are all bright and nice characters, but they all have various pasts, and each has a variety of pasts, and episodes where they end up riding a dragon trapper are revealed, the crew members fall in love more and more Among them, if you like adventure rather than feeling like a so-called RPG, please read it and I highly recommend it

It's perfect for when you want to read comics that have been written, but don't feel like putting in such a difficult story... It's light and laughable when it's an everyday story, but is it a long story? When it comes down to it, everyone is so cool, and it's exciting because there's action! The view of the world is solid, and I can get in!

After watching anime, I became addicted to it, and bought comics too! It's a story about each of them getting on a dragon trapper for various reasons, and they all catch dragons while living in the air. There are stories that focus on each of them, but I wonder if Takita is the main character, basically? Will there be a reason why I boarded Takita's ship? and I'm looking forward to it! I'm glad that there are also scenes that are somewhat surprising in the calm story...!!

It's exciting to fly airborne through a world with dragons. It is a work filled with various charms, such as characters with rich personalities, the lives of villages and people that are slightly similar to the lives of people somewhere on Earth, and recipes for dragon dishes that look delicious but you can never make yourself.
