Slightly cliché but so far so goodIt definitely reminded me of “My Happy Marriage” but stories inspired by another isn’t uncommon. So far, it’s interesting but let’s see where it goes as it’s only 7 chapters in. Hopefully, it won’t just be a carbon copy and will find its own story

A copy of “My Happy Marriage”This review contains spoilers. It’s a carbon copy of the anime. Similar lore, storyline, even the appearance of the main cast (in terms of the color pallet) is similar to the characters of My Happy Marriage. The differences is that they’re advertising the “Eastern Cinderella” theme that’s half baked. There’s yokai, the FL is the younger sister, the ML is a flirt, and the fem mc can sing.
The FL is called the seed of misfortune, that would need to die. Instead of being killed she becomes a servant. There were many reasons to off her but her parents kept her alive to use their mercy against her if she disobeys. Alot of the motivations for the antagonists are like this. They exist just to bully the FL around. The Older twin sister is a crazy person who torments her because she’s trash who doesn’t deserve any sort of happiness in her life.
There were story reasons as to why the FL of My Happy Marriage wasn’t born with any powers. In this manga, there are hints of the FL having powers even though everyone else says that she doesn't and has the powers to detect it. It just seems like to me that they broke their own rules to make the plot more compelling.
There are some charming moments in the manga like the flirty banter, the FL being an earnest cutie, doing things to make the ML feel better. Their initial meeting was rushed but the backstory made it justified.
If you like this manga, go watch My Happy Marriage instead of wasting your money on a copy banking on people who haven't watched the anime.

Saw a preview and was in love!Totally feels like I'm reading a romance visual novel. I adore this one so far! I've always loved the stories of mythical beings finding their happiness.

Great Beginning!I have to admit I am a sucker for stereotypical sappy romances, and I rarely read manga.
I have only read the first two chapters and I am already hooked. It’s a shame there aren’t many ways to earn points. (Unless I’m not searching hard enough, that is.)
One thing I love about this story is that the man that chose Akari super intrigues me. I look forward to see how this turns out!

Are you serious?This review contains spoilers. When does the next chapter come out cause leaving us hanging like this is a crime. Also a little disappointed in the groom. All this talk about Akari being his love & destiny yet under a spell he can't even recognize her? How whack. Also I liked googles but now I need him to go. He betrayed his boss & caused even more harm to their clan. He is no longer worthy to be part of them.

ImprovingThis review contains spoilers. I immediately had some guilt and fondness toward Akari, but I wasn't immeidately invested. Sad character with an unreasonably horrible backstory is not new, nor is it on its own enough to engage me. When Mikoto (fox lord) was introduced he also came off a bit too much. I would describe it as feeling like an unearned dynamic. However after a few chapters together, getting to know his reason and their behavior, I felt the relationship was earned enough and am fully invested. Akari is wholesome and cute, Mikoto is... well, also wholesome and cute in a different way. Especially his struggle against the powers of innocence. I look very much forward to seeing Akari in a situation where she has to actually stand up for herself to make things happen instead of either enduring indefinitely or being rescued.

Amazingly addicting!I hope they release more chapters soon , and I hope that she gains the confidence to stand up for herself and send that family and to hell! She deserves this happiness that awaits her! Also are we gonna talk about her voice ? Sounds like she can heal not just the heart but make peace happen

Captivating Story!I’m really enjoying the story so far and can’t wait for the rest of it! Since I was 6, I’ve read just about every version of Cinderella I could find, and this one is one of the most interesting and different ones I’ve read!

Giving my happy marriage but with yokaiThis manga caught my attention with its title first. After reading it feels similar to My Happy Marriage but it does have some differences that makes it an interesting read that stands out. I definitely recommend giving The Fox Lord's Bride a try.
