For those of you concerned about the age gap between two of the characters: apart from the younger student thinking about her feelings, nothing overtly romantic happens until the younger character is an adult.
The characters are likeable and I really love the interactions with Tsumugi and her father. It's so sweet.

Lots of sweetness, reasonably wholesome

Endearing and MouthwateringAn endearing slice-of-life series about a father and daughter grieving for their matriarch of the family, with a generous serving of mouthwatering food. I was initially worried that there would be a teacher-student relationship in this, but that's averted, thankfully!
At the end of each chapter is a recipe for that chapter's featured dish. The translation notes at the end of every volume are also very cool.

Recipes for food and emotionsThis is a sombre yet ordinary look into what it's like to cook and to take care of a child. Your practically reading a realistic take on the day to day happenings of these characters. Although I wouldn't say having one of your students help you cook at your house was realistic.
