This review contains spoilers. This is a beautiful story that handles some heavy topics: emotional abuse, societal expectations, and finding your way in life.

Beyond the main characters, even the side characters are fleshed out and believable. It was interesting to see some of the ex’s motivations, his actions are never justified, but he is also given depth that explains why turned out the way he did instead of just dismissing him as a bad person.

It’s very nice to see Miku grow and become more confident, and it’s great seeing how her and Yves support each other as they forge their path among people who don’t always understand them.

This review contains spoilers. I love all the progress Miku has done since leaving her ex-fiance. I love how she is slowly finding herself again, feeling good in her own skin and wanting to do something for herself. I was able to relate to so many situations in this manga, and the author did such a great job at approching these delicate topics with lots of respect and info, Im now anxiously waiting for the next chapters.

This review contains spoilers. I like how realistic this is, and how the characters' psychology is explored.
How the main character slowly builds her confidence and dares to choose her own path, managing to realise the toxicity of the relationship she's in.
How the character who seemed so free and self confident actually hides his own struggles, too.
But also how in spite of those hardships, he chooses to remain true to himself, in spite of the pressure. And I like how he allows himself express himself and to dress however he wants without feeling he has to conform to gender codes imposed on him by others.
I also like how the toxic abusive boyfriend isn't merely presented as a brute, which would have been the easy way, but the reader is made to understand that even he is struggling with his own past, although the author doesn't excuse his attitude and his actions.
It's rare to read manga that explores the complexity of human psychology like that.

This review contains spoilers. I do love the story, this can hit home to anyone who has ever dealt with a psychologically abusive relationship. This feels artistically subtle of how deep it can penetrate you to the point of questioning how the life that you have come to know as normal will elicit the frightening coping skills needed to live without your abuser should you break free.
I can't wait for Chapter 43!!!!!
